Felicia Frank Named Top-3 Finalist for Goalie of the Year

HAMDEN, Conn. – Sophomore goaltender Felicia Frank has been named a top-3 finalist for the 2026 Women's Hockey Goalie of the Year Award, as announced by the Women's Hockey Commissioners Association on March 6, 2026.
The award recognizes the top goaltender in NCAA Division I women's ice hockey. Frank is one of three finalists, joined by UConn's Tia Chan and 2025 finalist Ève Gascon from UMD. Frank advanced from the 12 semifinalists and initial watch list of 31 standout goaltenders representing four Division I conferences.
Frank's selection marks her first career appearance as a Goalie of the Year Award finalist.
Frank has been dominant in net for Quinnipiac this season. The sophomore earned All-ECAC First Team honors as well as ECAC Goalie of the Year. Frank led the ECAC in goals-against average (1.31), save percentage (.949), total saves (545), and shutouts (6) during conference play.
Frank has appeared in all 37 games and made 36 starts. She owns a 26-8-3 record with nine shutouts, a 1.54 goals-against average, and a .940 save percentage, while logging 2,216:11 minutes and recording 900 saves.
The sophomore ranks first nationally in wins (26), third in shutouts (9) and goals-against average (1.54) while placing fifth in save percentage (.940) among goaltenders with at least 16 games played.
Frank recorded a career-high 39 saves in a 4-0 shutout win over Cornell on Jan. 24 and sits in second on Quinnipiac's Division I single-season list in wins (26), tied for 3rd in single-season shutouts (9), and 6th in all-time career shutouts (13).
Throughout the season, Frank has earned ECAC Goaltender of the Week honors on four occasions (Sept. 30-Oct. 14, Nov. 11, and Jan. 27), highlighting her consistency and impact for the Bobcats.
The winner will be announced during this year's NCAA Frozen Four in Minneapolis, MN.
