COLORADO SPRING, Colo. – Quinnipiac women's ice hockey forward Kahlen Lamarche has been named a top-10 finalist for the 2026 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award, as announced by USA Hockey on March 4, 2026.
The Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award is annually presented to the top player in NCAA Division I women's ice hockey. Selection criteria includes outstanding individual and team skills, sportsmanship, performance in the clutch, personal character, competitiveness and a love of hockey.
The junior has recorded 42 goals and 18 assists for 60 points this season. Over the past three weeks, Lamarche broke Quinnipiac's Division I single-season records for both goals and points, previously held by Kelly Babstock '14 that had stood for 15 years.
Lamarche currently leads the nation in goals (42) and game-winning goals (8).
Against Brown in the best-of-three ECAC quarterfinal series, Lamarche tallied seven goals and one assist. Her eight-point performance tied her weekend high for points this season, previously set on Oct. 17-18 against Northeastern. She has recorded 15 points over her last six games, including five multi-point performances.
Lamarche was named to the All-ECAC First Team and is a finalist for ECAC Forward of the Year. She has also been recognized as ECAC Forward of the Week three times and ECAC Forward of the Month twice, in addition to earning Hockey Commissioners Association Co-Forward of the Month honors.
Through her career at Quinnipiac, Lamarche has tallied 67 goals and 60 assists for 127 points. She sits in second on Quinnipiac's Division 1 all-time career points list, behind Babstock's 203.
The top three finalists for the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award will be announced on March 11, with the winner revealed during a live ceremony on March 21 at the HUB‑Robeson Center on the campus of Penn State University during the Women's Frozen Four.
