HAMDEN, Conn. –The Quinnipiac men's tennis team heads to Providence for a Sunday matchup against Brown.
Matches are set to begin at 4 p.m.
SCOUTING BROWN
- The Bears enter the weekend 5-0, recently defeating Boston College 6-1 on Friday.
- First-year Elliot Wasserman earned two victories for Brown, picking up wins in both singles and doubles alongside partner Theo Murphy.
LAST TIME OUT
- The teams of Carlos Braun Simo / Alessandro Sciacca and Csanad Nyaradi / Prithvi Sudhakar won their respective doubles matchups against Monmouth.
- Elias Hoxha added a singles victory for the Bobcats.
ITA REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
- The teams of Carlos Braun Simo / Elias Hoxha & Finn Burridge / Alessandro Sciacca each won their respective doubles matchups to advance to the round of 64.
- Carlos Braun Simo won his main draw singles consolation match, defeating Ethan Chung (Yale): 7-5, 7-6 (9-7).
BACK-TO-BACK MAAC CHAMPS
- Quinnipiac men's tennis won its second straight MAAC title this past season, defeating Rider 4-1 in the championship.
- Elias Hoxha was named Most Outstanding Performer for his clinch in the win over Rider.
- In the semifinal, QU defeated Niagara 4-1.
- The Bobcats returned to their second straight NCAA Tournament, falling to No. 23 Clemson 4-0.
ALL-MAAC SELECTIONS
- The Bobcats return All-MAAC selections Elias Hoxha, Carlos Braun Simo, and Finn Burridge.
- Hoxha maintains a perfect 10-0 record against MAAC opponents.
