No. 7 Bobcats Drop Tough Battle in OT to Brown

HAMDEN, Conn. – The No. 7 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team fell to Brown 3-2 in overtime on Saturday afternoon.
Brown opened the scoring late in the first period on a goal from Jade Iginla with just under two minutes remaining.
Kahlen Lamarche responded in the second, finishing off a beautiful feed from Laurence Frenette to tie the game.
The Bears regained the lead after Margot Norehad recorded her third goal of the weekend to close out the frame.
Lamarche answered once again for the Bobcats, netting her 39th goal and sixth power-play goal of the season. The junior recorded her third straight multi-goal performance.
Neither team was able to break the tie in regulation, forcing overtime.
Brown secured the game-winner in the extra frame on Norehad's second goal of the afternoon.
Felicia Frank recorded 21 saves in her 36th appearance of the season.
The series is 1-1 with a winner-take-all matchup Sunday at 2 p.m. at M&T Bank Arena.
