2/28/2026 11:45:00 PM | Men's Ice Hockey
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — For the sixth consecutive season, the No. 7 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program is ECAC Regular Season Champions. The Bobcats secured the outright crown with a 4-1 victory over Harvard on the road, getting to 50 points on the year, three more than Cornell and Dartmouth who finished in a tie for second.
Harvard got on the board in the second with its only goal of the game, but Antonin Verreault tied it off a deflection from a Harvard skate at the 7:44 mark of the second.
The game-winner came from Aaron Schwartz, who ripped one up over the Harvard netminder's shoulder to give Quinnipiac the lead it would not relinquish at 2-1.
Matthew McGroarty and Markus Vidicek added third period insurance tallies, finishing off the victory.

After a bye for the ECAC Opening Round, the Bobcats will host the worst seed remaining in the ECAC Men's Hockey Championship Quarterfinal round. The best-of-three game series is slated for Friday, March 13, Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15 at M&T Bank Arena.

STATS AND NOTES
- It is the sixth consecutive regular season title, matching them with Minnesota State for the longest streak in NCAA Men's Division I history. The Bobcats are the only team to do it in one league, with the Mavericks doing it across WCHA and CCHA.
- Quinnipiac has now won 12 Cleary Cup titles overall, the most by any active member of the league.
- This is the 14th time that an ECAC hockey men's team has won 17-plus league games in the regular season. The Bobcats account for seven of those.
- Ethan Wyttenbach finishes the regular season with 57 points, 10 clear of T.J. Hughes at the top of the NCAA leaderboard. It is the third-most points put up by a Bobcat in a season, two off the single-season record.
- Quinnipiac is the only team with five guys that have 30 or more points in the season: Wyttenbach, Markus Vidicek, Chris Pelosi, Antonin Verreault and Mason Marcellus.
- Schwartz's goal ended up being the game winner, and he's one of seven guys with multiple GWG this season.
