HAMDEN, Conn. –The Quinnipiac men's tennis team hosts Binghamton University on Saturday night before traveling to Rhode Island to face Bryant University on Sunday morning.
Matches are set to begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11:15 p.m. on Sunday.

HAMDEN, Conn. –The Quinnipiac men's tennis team hosts Binghamton University on Saturday night before traveling to Rhode Island to face Bryant University on Sunday morning.
Matches are set to begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11:15 p.m. on Sunday.
SCOUTING BINGHAMTON
- The Bearcats enter the weekend with a 3-6 record.
- Binghamton picked up their first conference win of the season against Stonehill 5-2.
- Ronin Lotlikar earned back-to-back NEC Player of the Week after two singles wins against Fairfield and Army.
SCOUTING BRYANT
- This is the 15th all-time meeting between the Bobcats and the Bulldogs.
- Bryant enters the weekend with a 3-5 record, most recently sweeping Boston University 4-0.
- No. 1 doubles pair of Daniel Baquero and Miguel Angel Machado came in at No. 20 in the ITA doubles national rankings for Division I in early February.
MAAC WEEKLY AWARDS
- Carlos Braun Simo earned Player of the week, while Alessandro Sciacca earned Rookie of the Week after their performances against Illinois State.
LAST TIME OUT
- Quinnipiac earned their first win of the season with a 4-3 victory over Illinois State. Carl Sjoholm clinched the win for the Bobcats after winning in three sets.
- Carlos Braun Simo, Elias Hoxha, Alessandro Sciacca, and Carl Sjoholm each picked up a singles win in the comeback after dropping the doubles points.
- Braun Simo has won three singles matches and three doubles matches this season.
ITA REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
- The teams of Carlos Braun Simo / Elias Hoxha & Finn Burridge / Alessandro Sciacca each won their respective doubles matchups to advance to the round of 64.
- Carlos Braun Simo won his main draw singles consolation match, defeating Ethan Chung (Yale): 7-5, 7-6 (9-7).
BACK-TO-BACK MAAC CHAMPS
- Quinnipiac men's tennis won its second straight MAAC title this past season, defeating Rider 4-1 in the championship.
- Elias Hoxha was named Most Outstanding Performer for his clinch in the win over Rider.
- In the semifinal, QU defeated Niagara 4-1.
- The Bobcats returned to their second straight NCAA Tournament, falling to No. 23 Clemson 4-0.
ALL-MAAC SELECTIONS
- The Bobcats return All-MAAC selections Elias Hoxha, Carlos Braun Simo, and Finn Burridge.
- Hoxha maintains a perfect 10-0 record against MAAC opponents.
