QU Falls in MAAC Battle vs. Sacred Heart

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's basketball fell in MAAC play against Sacred Heart, 98-91, on Friday night from M&T Bank Arena. The Bobcats move to 7-5 in league play with the result.
Amarri Monroe registered 24 points and nine rebounds for the Bobcats, while Jaden Zimmerman also recorded 24 points of his own.
Grant Randall tallied his third double-double of the season, posting 18 points and a career-high 16 rebounds.
The Bobcats led 86-81 with just over three minutes to go after a pair of Keith McKnight free throws. From that point, Sacred Heart closed on a 17-5 run to power the Pioneers to a road win.
Sacred Heart was led by 26 points from Anquan Hill, while Mekhi Connor dished out 16 total assists for the Pioneers. SHU made 15 3-pointers, including 11 during the first half of action.
