Quinnipiac Takes Both from ECAC Ranked Foes to Begin 2026
HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 10 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program finished off a sweep of two ranked foes this weekend, knocking off No. 8/9 Dartmouth by a 5-3 final at M&T Bank Arena on Saturday night.
After the first two periods were played evenly, Mason Marcellus provided the deciding blow, hopping on a loose puck and firing it past the Dartmouth netminder to give the Bobcats the goal they needed.
Four goals were split evenly, with Braden Blace adding his first of the year and Victor Czerneckianair potting his third of the weekend 82 seconds apart.
After Dartmouth took a 3-2 lead late in the second, Markus Vidicek scored his team-best 13th of the year off a slick feed from Marcellus to tie it up.
Matej Marinov made eight of his 18 saves in the third period, including a couple of point-blank stops with the Dartmouth netminder on the bench to keep the hosts ahead.
