NORTH HAVEN, Conn. – The reigning MAAC Champions Quinnipiac men's tennis team will open its 2026 spring campaign with two matches this week.
The Bobcats will kick off their home opener on Thursday against the Johnnies for an 11 a.m. first serve at the North Haven Health and Racquet Club.
On Sunday, Quinnipiac will travel down to New Jersey for its first road matchup against Monmouth. Matches are set to begin at 6 p.m.

SCOUTING ST. JOHN'S AND MONMOUTH
- The Red Storm is coming off their sixth BIG EAST title since 2014 and its second in the last three seasons.
- St. John's return three key contributors from last year's championship squad, including Adam Groves, who posted a perfect 17-0 doubles record alongside partner Ryota Kaneda.
- Juniors Danilo Raicevic and Armando Sotelo also return after each earned BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week honors last season.
SCOUTING MONMOUTH
- The Bobcats hold a 23-20 all-time record against the Hawks.
- Last season, Monmouth went 19-4 and reached the CAA Semifinals.
- Louis Keller was a First Team All-CAA Doubles selection in 2025.
- Keller was also a Second Team All-CAA Singles honoree and Alex Martinez Sanz took home Third Team All-CAA Singles accolades.
ITA REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
- The teams of Carlos Braun Simo / Elias Hoxha & Finn Burridge / Alessandro Sciacca each won their respective doubles matchups to advance to the round of 64.
- Carlos Braun Simo won his main draw singles consolation match, defeating Ethan Chung (Yale): 7-5, 7-6 (9-7).
BACK-TO-BACK MAAC CHAMPS
- Quinnipiac men's tennis won its second straight MAAC title this past season, defeating Rider 4-1 in the championship.
- Elias Hoxha was named Most Outstanding Performer for his clinch in the win over Rider.
- In the semifinal, QU defeated Niagara 4-1.
- The Bobcats returned to their second straight NCAA Tournament, falling to No. 23 Clemson 4-0.
ALL-MAAC SELECTIONS
- The Bobcats return All-MAAC selections Elias Hoxha, Carlos Braun Simo, and Finn Burridge.
- Hoxha maintains a perfect 10-0 record against MAAC opponents.
