Monroe Registers 24 Points, QU Falls at Merrimack

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Quinnipiac men's basketball fell in MAAC play on Saturday, dropping a road contest by the final score of 83-71 at Lawler Arena.
Amarri Monroe registered 24 points, five rebounds and four steals to pace the Bobcats. He scored 16 points in the first half.
Kevair Kennedy led Merrimack with 23 points, eight rebounds and six assists.
Merrimack went 13-of-24 from 3-point range in the victory. The Warriors built a lead as large as 21 points (19:28 left in the second half).
The Bobcats cut the deficit to just nine points on Jaden Zimmerman's layup with 3:50 to go, then Merrimack knocked down six free throws over the final four minutes to finish off the win.
