Bobcats Defeat Rider For First Win of 2025

Hamden, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's soccer team secured their first win of the 2025 season in the MAAC opener against the Rider Broncs, 2-1, on Saturday afternoon in Hamden.
Rider scored first in the third minute of the match, but two unanswered goals by the Bobcats led them to victory.
Milena Branco evened the score at one goal apiece in the 26th minute. Addyson Earl tracked down a loose ball and delivered it into the box, where Branco finished.
In the 51st minute, the Bobcats earned a corner kick and capitalized. Corey Anderson sent the ball into the box, finding Morgan Cupo's header, which just crossed the goal line to give Quinnipiac a 2-1 lead.
Rider managed only three shots in the second half, and Olivia Jarvis saved all three, helping the Bobcats hold on for their season's first win.
