HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's soccer team hosts Syracuse for the Bobcats' home opener on Thursday afternoon in Hamden.
LAST TIME OUT: Bobcats Drop Non-League Matchup at Stony Brook (8/21)
- The Quinnipiac women's soccer team fell to Stony Brook, 3-1, on Long Island on 8/21.
- Milena Branco got the scoring started with her first goal of the season in the 6th minute. Molly Andrews and Addyson Earl were credited with the assists.
- Stony Brook knotted the game up at one in the 22nd minute on a goal from Linn Beck. Two second-half tallies from Reilly Rich gave the Seawolves the 3-1 win.
- Syracuse is 3-1 already this year, beating Charleston Southern, Canisius and Holy Cross. Fellow MAAC member Niagara defeated Syracuse 2-1 on Aug. 17.
- Ashley Rauch leads the team with 10 points through four contests. She has four goals in 2025.
- The Bobcats have not squared off against the Orange during QU's Division I era.
- The Quinnipiac women's soccer team was selected second in the MAAC Preseason Poll, as announced by the league office on Wednesday, August 6th.
- The Bobcats received 158 total points with two first-place votes. Quinnipiac finished eight points behind the Preseason favorites, Fairfield, and finished 25 points ahead of Siena, who was picked to finish third.
- Madison Alves was Quinnipiac's lone member of the Preseason All-MAAC Team.

- The Bobcats return six of their top ten-point scorers from last season, highlighted by Madison Alves and Klara Bengtsson, who both finished the season with 10 points.

- The Bobcats will play 16 regular-season games in total – hosting seven contests at the Quinnipiac Soccer Stadium in Hamden. The Bobcats hosted two exhibition contests this preseason, welcoming both St. John's and Maine.
- Quinnipiac's slate features four non-conference matchups, with three on the road (Hofstra, Stony Brook, and LIU) and one in Hamden (Syracuse).
- QU kicks off MAAC play on September 6th as they host the Rider Broncs with a 12 PM kickoff.
