Grisdale Earns Bronze at 2025 FISU World University Games

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac women's basketball captain, Jackie Grisdale, and Team USA have taken home the Bronze Medal in the Women's 3x3 Basketball Event at the 2025 FISU World University Games in Rhine-Ruhr, Germany.
Team USA kicked off Pool Play on Friday, July 18th, and defeated South Africa, 21-10, and Poland, 14-11, to finish at the top of the group. In her first game of the tournament, Grisdale scored six points, scoring two one-pointers (2-for-2) and two two-pointers (2-for-4). Grisdale finished first on the team with a player value of 10.0 in the win over South Africa. In game two of pool play, Grisdale led her team with a player value of 7.5 after scoring three one-pointers (3-for-3) and grabbing five total rebounds.
After finishing at the top of their group, Jackie and Team USA advanced to the Quarterfinals and took down France, 21-6. Grisdale tied for the team lead with an 8.2 player value and scored four points, two one-pointers (2-for-3) and one two-pointer (1-for-3). Grisdale led her team with four offensive rebounds and grabbed three defensive rebounds in the win over France.
With the win over France, Team USA booked a trip to the semifinals on Saturday, July 22nd, where they would face China. Grisdale would finish with four points, scoring all four from inside the two-point arc, but Team USA would fall by a score of 21-16.
After the loss to China, Team USA was right back at it as they faced Czechia in the Women's Bronze Medal Game. Grisdale finished with one point and one rebound as Team USA defeated Czechia, 13-10, to capture the bronze medal.
