SEATTLE, Wa. — Quinnipiac Women's Ice Hockey alum Meghan Turner has been named the general manager of PWHL Seattle as announced by the league Wednesday afternoon.
The 2017 alum is the first general manager in PWHL Seattle history as it is one of two expansion teams, along with Vancouver, joining the league next season. Over the last two seasons, Turner has been the assistant general manager for the Boston Fleet, under another former Bobcat Danielle Marmer '17, making Quinnipiac the only school with two PWHL general managers. Turner also joins Marmer and Gina Kingsbury as former ECAC women's ice hockey players turned PWHL general managers.
"Meghan Turner is an outstanding choice to lead PWHL Seattle as General Manager. She's bright, organized, and consistently prepared—traits that have always set her apart. Meg leads with integrity, vision, and purpose, and it's inspiring to see another strong, capable woman stepping into a top leadership role in professional hockey. The franchise is in excellent hands."
"I'm so honored to step into this role and have the opportunity to build a PWHL team in Seattle," said Turner in a press release. "From the excitement that we experienced at the Takeover Tour this past season to the established women's sports culture and the close relationship with the Kraken, I'm confident that we're stepping into an environment that is more than ready for women's hockey."
Turner's work will begin soon as Seattle will pick their roster in the PWHL Expansion Draft on June 9 and the 2025 PWHL Draft on June 24.
