Bobcats Down Niagara, Advance to MAAC Championship

WEST WINDSOR, NJ – No. 1 seed Quinnipiac Men's Tennis defeated No. 5 Niagara 4-1 on Saturday morning in the semifinal round of the 2025 MAAC Championship.
Carlos Braun Simo was the clincher, winning his match in straight sets. QU also got dominant singles wins from Elias Hoxha, who only dropped a game, and Vishal Prakash, who won in straight sets as well. The Bobcats started the day right, getting the doubles point thanks to a quick win by Daniel Velek / James Lorenzetti and a thriller win in a tiebreaker by Alex Yang / Elias Hoxha.
The Bobcats will now advance to the MAAC Tournament title match for the fifth time since QU joined the league. Quinnipiac made it all the way to the final round in 2015-16, 2018-19, 2021-22, and 2023-24, and now will look to repeat as MAAC Champions tomorrow morning.
