Men's Tennis Earns Four All-League Honors

EDISON, NJ – Quinnipiac Men's Tennis captured four different All-MAAC awards for the 2024-25 regular season, as announced by the conference office on Thursday, April 24th.
Graduate student Daniel Velek and first year Elias Hoxha each were named to the All-MAAC Singles First Team, after each won the MAAC Player of the Week award this season. Finn Burridge and Carlos Braun Simo each were named All-MAAC Second Team Singles, both getting their second All-MAAC nods in as many seasons at QU. Between the four, they posted a combined MAAC record of 26-6, leading QU to their first outright MAAC regular season title.
Daniel Velek - First Team Singles: The former MAAC Player of Year returned for his second season in Hamden by going 6-2 at No. 1 singles in league action.
Elias Hoxha - First Team Singles: Hoxha was the lone Bobcat to win every MAAC singles match, earning first team honors while going 8-0.
Finn Burridge - Second Team Singles: Burridge earned his second All-MAAC singles nod in as many years for his 6-2 record.
Carlos Braun Simo - Second Team Singles: The sophomore followed up his All-MAAC season last year with another, going 6-2 for QU.
In addition to their recognition for on court success, QU had six Bobcats named to the MAAC All-Academic Team:

The Bobcats finished the regular season with a 10-11 record while going 8-0 in MAAC play to earn the No. 1 seed in the upcoming MAAC Championship. QU will have a bye to the semifinals before facing the winner of No. 4 seed Mount St. Mary's or No. 5 seed Niagara on Saturday, April 26, at 10:00 AM at Mercer County Tennis Park in West Windsor, N.J.
