Renton Wins Second MAAC Player of the Week

EDISON, NJ – First year Willow Renton has been named MAAC Tennis Player of the Week for the second time this season as announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.
Renton has helped lead the Bobcats to a 4-0 start in MAAC play, with singles wins at the No. 1 spot for all four. This weekend she earned the recognition by going 4-0 with two singles wins and two dominant doubles wins with Caitlin Flower at the No.1 doubles position.
Her and Flower defeated Merrimack's McLoughlin and Philips 6-1 and Rider's Brown and Naves 6-2. In singles, Renton defeated Merrimack's Thompson 6-2, 6-2 and Rider's Fishman 6-4, 6-2.
Renton and the Bobcats return to the courts on Friday to host Siena at noon in Hamden.
