Bobcats Down The Mount, Clinch Second Consecutive Regular Season MAAC Title

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac Men's Basketball won its second consecutive MAAC regular season title on Thursday night in Hamden, as the Bobcats outlasted Mount St. Mary's 79-70 at M&T Bank Arena.
With the victory, Quinnipiac (15-4 MAAC) will head down to Atlantic City for the MAAC Tournament as the No. 1 seed. The top-seeded Bobcats will play in the MAAC quarterfinal round on Wednesday, March 12 at 6:00 PM.
The Bobcats are 30-9 in MAAC regular season contests over the last two seasons under Head Coach Tom Pecora. Quinnipiac went 15-5 in league play during 2023-24 to earn the program's first-ever regular season championship, and now sits at 15-4 in league play this season en route to a second consecutive title.
Amarri Monroe registered 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the way for Quinnipiac. Paul Otieno added 16 points and 6 rebounds – reaching 1,000 career points in the win. Savion Lewis chipped in with 11 assists (zero turnovers), 6 points and 5 rebounds. Khaden Bennett added 20 points on 6-of-11 shooting.

- Quinnipiac has taken four of the last six meetings with Mount St. Mary's.
- The regular season champion Bobcats will wrap up the regular season on Saturday, March 8, making the short trip to Fairfield for one final MAAC contest before the postseason tournament in Atlantic City.
