Golf Wraps Up Day One in South Carolina

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC. – The Quinnipiac women's golf team placed seventh (+33) after day one of The Low Country Intercollegiate hosted by Wofford in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

Sophomore Samantha Galantini shot a 76 (+4) in the first round of the Invitational, finishing in a tie for seventh place. Galantini shot par on eight of 18 holes and recorded three birdies.

Sophomore Natalie Spiska, who participated as an individual, tied for 12th place with a score of 78 (+6) in the first round, recording one birdie. Marisa Flores tied for 33rd place with an 81 (+9).

First-year Vaidehi Shah and senior Fuge Zhang both tied for 37^th place (+10). Sophomore Alexia Edgahl rounded out the Quinnipiac grouping in a tie for 44^th place (+11).

The Bobcats will return to the course on Saturday, Mar. 22, as they play on day two of the three days of The Low Country Intercollegiate with a 9:15 AM shotgun start.

Quinnipiac finished day one with eight birdies, tied for second-best in the field.
Quinnipiac finished with 39 pars, best for seventh among the field.
Fuge Zhang and Samantha Galantini tied for third with three birdies each.
