Otieno Posts Career-High 28 Points, QU Falls in MAAC Battle vs. Niagara

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac Men's Basketball dropped a Saturday MAAC matchup against Niagara by the final score of 76-75.
Paul Otieno recorded a career-high 28 points on Saturday afternoon at M&T Bank Arena to lead the way for QU. The big man shot 10-of-13 from the floor and a perfect 3-for-3 from 3-point distance.
Amarri Monroe recorded another double-double with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and four steals – going 8-of-15 from the floor.
QU moves to 10-3 in the MAAC with the result. Niagara improves to 4-8 in league play.

- Niagara went on a 14-5 run over the final 3:02, outlasting the Bobcats to earn the MAAC win. Justice Smith made a step-back jumper with 44 seconds left to give the Purple Eagles a 3-point lead, and Niagara held on for their 4th league win of the season.
- QU shot 26-of-50 (52.0%) in total, and went 6-of-11 from the 3-point line.
- The Bobcats outscored the Purple Eagles 38-24 in the paint.
- Niagara held a 48-13 advantage in points in the paint.
