Cooper Named to ECAC Hockey Second Team

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — Quinnipiac women's ice hockey defender Kendall Cooper has been named to the 2024-25 ECAC Hockey Second Team, as announced by the league office Wednesday, Feb. 26.
The captain of the Bobcats has put together a stellar last season in Hamden, garnering her fifth nod to an All-ECAC team in her five years here. She now has been named to the All-ECAC Second Team twice, Third Team twice, and was also on the 2020-21 All-Rookie team. She has tallied four multipoint games this season, the career active leader on QU with 28 multipoint games.
She leads the Bobcats in several categories, dishing 19 assists while also posting a team-best +21 plus/minus rating. She also is second in points with 26, leading all defenders on QU. Her 26 blocked shots are also good for second on the Bobcats. Within league play, Cooper is third among defenders in points with 16 and sixth in plus/minus at +12.
The Burlington, Ontario native has reached a number of milestones this season, moving into the first spot for career points among defenders in program history while reaching the hundred point mark. She also sits third in career assists (83), one behind Nicole Kosta '16 heading into this weekend at Clarkson. She is also now fourth all-time in points at 116, seven behind Kosta at 124.
Cooper and the Bobcats are headed up to the North Country this weekend for a three-game series in the ECAC Quarterfinals against Clarkson. QU will play its first game at 3:00 PM on Friday afternoon and then at 2:00 PM Saturday and Sunday (if necessary) at Cheel Arena in Potsdam, N.Y.
