Bobcats Move to 13-3 in MAAC, Remain Tied for First Place
RIVERDALE, NY – Quinnipiac Men's Basketball earned a comeback victory on the road at Manhattan, battling back to post a 74-71 win on Sunday afternoon at Draddy Gymnasium.
The Bobcats – who trailed by as many as 17 points in the victory – outscored Manhattan 51-33 in the second half of action. Quinnipiac shot 17-of-33 (51.5%) from the floor over the final 20 minutes of play.
Amarri Monroe recorded his 12th double-double of the year (20 points, 16 rebounds) in the win. The Preseason MAAC Player of the Year also reached 1,000 career points.
Savion Lewis chipped in with a double-double of his own, scoring 12 points to go along with 10 assists. The graduate student recorded nine assists in the second half alone.
Khaden Bennett posted a clutch performance of 18 points, 16 of which came in the final 20 minutes. Jaden Zimmerman also recorded 16 points in the second half.
With the win, the Bobcats move to 17-10 (13-3 MAAC) for the season. Quinnipiac remains tied for first place in the conference standings with Marist, who also owns a 13-3 league mark.

- The Bobcats shot 17-of-33 in the second half of action, drilling six 3-point field goals to aid the comeback.
- The Jaspers led for 37:48 in total.
- QU outscored Manhattan 30-24 in the paint, and the Bobcats outrebounded the Jaspers 39-32,
- Amarri Monroe's 20 points came via 7-of-15 shooting. He went 4-of-8 in the second half. The Preseason MAAC Player of the Year has recorded a double-double in five consecutive games (double-double in 8 of last 10 games). Monroe has recorded rebound totals of 10, 10, 19, 10, and 16 over QU's last five outings.
- Savion Lewis dished out 10 assists for the third time in four games. Lewis is up to 6.3 assists per game in 2024-25. He also scored 12 points (second highest scoring output of the season).
- Khaden Bennett's 18 points off the bench came via 6-of-10 shooting over 27 minutes. Bennett finished with a +14 plus/minus rating (team-best mark for the day). He hit a pair of triples with 1:36 remaining, and with 40 seconds left - both of which gave the Bobcats the lead late in the contest.
- Jaden Zimmerman scored 10 points, while Alexis Reyes chipped in with eight points of his own.
- Quinnipiac has won each of the last three matchups against Manhattan. The Bobcats are 6-4 over the last 10 contests vs. the Jaspers.
- QU returns to action on Friday, Feb. 28, as the Bobcats will play host to Saint Peter's in Hamden for a nationally-televised contest (ESPNU).
