Barbirati Selected to Represent France at 2026 Winter Olympics

Quinnipiac women's ice hockey first-year forward Jade Barbirati has been selected to represent Team France at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games.
France became the first of ten nations competing in the women's ice hockey tournament to formally announce its Olympic roster, as the senior team prepares to make its first ever appearance at the upcoming games.
A native of Savoie, France, the forward has appeared in eight games for the Bobcats this season, recording three goals and four assists.
Barbirati has also represented Team France at the IIHF World Championships, helping her country capture a gold medal during the 2021-22 season and a bronze medal in 2023-24.
Prior to Quinnipiac, Barbirati spent three seasons at John Abbott College, where she tallied 103 points in 64 games.
France will compete in Group B at the games, opening preliminary-round play against host nation Italy on Feb. 5, followed by matchups with Japan (Feb. 6), Sweden (Feb. 8), and Germany (Feb. 9).
