Bobcats Cruise Past CCSU Thursday Night in Home Opener

QU Earns 71-49 Victory in Front of 2,500+ Fans
HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's basketball routed Central Connecticut State on Thursday night during the home opener, as the Bobcats battled to a 71-49 victory in front of 2,581 fans at M&T Bank Arena.
Amarri Monroe registered 20 points, eight rebounds and four steals to lead the way for QU. Jaden Zimmerman chipped in with 19 points and four rebounds, and Grant Randall recorded a career-high 14 points to go along with eight boards.
QU shot 40.8% from the field in total (29-71), and knocked down eight 3-pointers. The Bobcats outscored CCSU 36-20 in the paint.
Quinnipiac moves to 1-1 with the victory. The Bobcats are 26-5 at home under Head Coach Tom Pecora over the last three seasons.
