QUEENS, N.Y. – Quinnipiac men's basketball dropped its 2025-26 season opener at No. 5 St. John's by the final score of 108-74 on Monday night at Carnesecca Arena.
Keith Mcknight paced the Bobcats in his collegiate debut, pouring in 19 points via 7-of-11 shooting. The first-year forward grabbed three rebounds and added two steals over 22 minutes off the bench.
Jaden Zimmerman recorded 19 points of his own, going 8-of-10 from the free throw line.

- The Bobcats shot 27-67 (40.3%) from the field. QU heated up in the second half of action, going 16-of-34 (47.1%) over the final 20 minutes of play. The Bobcats knocked down six 3-pointers in the second half.
- Keith Mcknight's big day off the bench finished with 19 total points. He recorded 12 points in the first half on 4-of-5 shooting.
- 13 of Jaden Zimmerman's 19 points came in the second half. He also grabbed three rebounds for QU.
- Samson Reilly scored 11 points off the bench in his first collegiate game. All 11 points came during the second-half, as the redshirt freshman went 3-for-3 from distance.
- Amarri Monroe added 10 points, 6 steals and 4 rebounds. Monroe is up to 140 career steals, which ranks 7th in Quinnipiac program history. Boyd Johnson ('91) owns the QU record with 232 steals.
- Asim Jones chipped in with 10 points and 3 assists in his QU debut. He shot 5-of-10 from the floor.
- Five St. John's players reached double-digit scoring totals, led by Dillon Mitchell with 18 points.
