Law’s First Career Hat Trick Powers Bobcats Past Providence

PROVIDENCE, RI – Alex Law recorded a hat trick, leading the No. 8 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team to a 5-2 victory over Providence on Friday afternoon at Schneider Arena.
The Friars struck first, but the Bobcats quickly erased the deficit as Law scored her second goal of the season to tie the game. Laurence Frenette then put Quinnipiac ahead with just over a minute left in the first period.
Providence answered in the second period to even the score once more, but the Bobcats took control in the third period, scoring three goals to secure the win. Peyton Cormier notched her first collegiate goal, while Law added two more goals and an assist to record her first career hat trick and a four-point day.
