Schwartz's Career Night Powers No. 18/20 Bobcats Past Stonehill

First-year forward records four points in two periods as Quinnipiac earns split of home sequence
HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 18/20 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program started its three-game week with a win on Monday night, knocking off independent foe Stonehill by a 6-1 final at M&T Bank Arena.
First-year Aaron Schwartz set a new career-high with a goal and three assists for a four-point night, the first of his young collegiate tenure.
After Stonehill took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission, the Bobcats roared back for a dominant second, scoring three to take control of the game.
Schwartz recorded a pair of assists in the frame, including a great back pass to Davis Pennington, who sniped it top corner to punctuate the period.
Andon Cerbone and Travis Treloar added the other two tallies, with both coming on a five-minute power play.
The Bobcats added three more in the third, with Schwartz scoring and dishing an assist to finish off a four-point night.
Matej Marinov earned the start in net for the Bobcats, recording 12 saves on 13 shots. Noah Altman saw his first action of the season, playing the final 4:37.
STATS AND NOTES
The Bobcats have a home-and-home ECAC series with Princeton upcoming, as they head to New Jersey on Friday night before turning around and playing Saturday at M&T Bank Arena.
Both games are slated for 7 p.m., and can be seen live on ESPN+.

- Schwartz's previous collegiate best was three points that he had against New Hampshire on Oct. 25.
- Four points is the most by a Bobcat in a single game this season, tied with Jeremy Wilmer and Jack Ricketts.
- The three assists also match the most by a Quinnipiac skater in 2024-25, tying Wilmer and Treloar.
- The Bobcats posted their most shots in a period this season, pestering 21 in the second period. That frame also saw the least shots the Bobcats have let up in a period this season, allowing just two Skyhawk shots on net.
- Quinnipiac totaled 12 assists and 43 shots on net, both of which are the most in a game this season.
- Tyler Borgula extended his points streak to four, with five assists in that stretch.
