HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 15/16 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program rides a three-game winning streak into its next ECAC weekend, taking on Colgate and Cornell at M&T Bank Arena on Friday and Saturday night.

NAME SO NICE, THEY SAY IT TWICE
- Sophomore netminder Matej Marinov recorded his first shutout of 2024-25 and the second of his collegiate career, making 25 stops against Princeton in a 3-0 victory on Saturday night.
- The Slovakia native was also named to the Richter Award Watch List on Wednesday afternoon, along with teammate Dylan Silverstein.
- Marinov is third in the league in goals-against average, currently at a 2.08 entering the weekend. His .917 save percentage is fourth in the conference.
VICTOR(Y)
- Junior Victor Czerneckianair is currently putting himself amongst the Bobcats' elite at the faceoff dot this season, winning 60 percent of draws entering the weekend.
- That places him tops in the ECAC this season and his rate is fourth-best amongst all eligible Bobcat skaters (300 faceoffs or more) since the tracking became available in 2002-03.
- Quinnipiac as a team is winning 56 percent of faceoffs since Nov. 15, the third-best rate in the country. They are 10-2-1 since then.
MAY THE SCHWARTZ BE WITH YOU
- First year forward Aaron Schwartz was named the ECAC Forward of the Week, presented by BlueBird hotels after aiding the Bobcats to a three-win week.
- He recorded a career-best four point night against Stonehill to open the week and then scored the game-winning tally on Friday night to start the weekend sweep for the Bobcats.
- He joined a club of 10, first-year players to record four or more points in a game and is one of 13 freshmen to dish three or more assists in a game this season.
POWERED UP
- Entering the weekend, the Bobcats boast the nation's fifth-best power-play rate, converting on 28.6 percent of its opportunities. That mark also leads the ECAC and is third in the nation.
- 14 of their 21 on the season have come since Nov. 15, the third-most in the country, scoring on 30.4 percent of opportunities since then.
- Travis Treloar recorded his sixth goal on the advantage this season, the 23rd of his collegiate career, which is the most among any active NCAA D1 skaters.
FINDING THEIR STRIDE
- After a 3-5-0 start to the campaign, the Bobcats have started to hit a groove, going 10-2-1 over their last nine contests and currently find themselves top of the ECAC standings.
- The ten wins are tied for the second-most over that stretch, averaging out to a .808 winning percentage.
- The Bobcats have killed off 31 of 32 penalties during that span, disposing of opposing power plays at a 96.8 percent clip. Only Western Michigan (97.0) has a better rate.
