HAMDEN, Conn. (June 4, 2024) – The NCAA has announced the latest four-year Academic Progress Rates (APR) and three Quinnipiac programs achieved a perfect score of 1,000.
The Bobcats' men's tennis, women's golf and women's lacrosse teams all received perfect multiyear APR scores. All but one of Quinnipiac's programs posted a rate equal or above the national average (984). 12 different Bobcat teams recorded a 990+ APR.
The APR, created to provide more of real-time measurement of academic success than graduation success rates offer, is a team-based metric where scholarship student-athletes earn one point each term for remaining eligible and one point for staying in school or graduating. Schools that don't offer scholarships track their recruited student-athletes. The multiyear APR reflects NCAA Division I APR data submitted by schools for the 2019-20 through 2022-23 academic years.
34 MAAC teams achieved perfect APR scores (1,000) – 24 women's and 10 men's. Nine league sports saw an increase in their average rate from the 2021-22 report, while 14 MAAC sports posted rates above or equal to the national average (984).
