LAKE PLACID, N.Y. — Junior forwards Collin Graf and Jacob Quillan were tabbed as major award winners by the ECAC, the league announced at its annual awards banquet on Thursday night.
Graf is the league's Player of the Year and Quillan earned the Gladiator Best Defensive Forward in accolades voted on by the 12 head coaches of the member institutions.
A First Team Selection and Hobey Top 10 honoree for the second consecutive season, Graf overcame early-season injury troubles to lead the league in all three offensive categories to enter Lake Placid weekend with 22 goals and 26 assists.
He totaled 12 multi-point games this season and has 35 for his career, both of which lead the current Bobcats. That was highlighted by a five-point performance against AIC on Oct. 14 and a hat trick against RPI on Feb. 17.
The Lincoln, Mass., selection also added eight power-play goals this season, good for first in the league.
Quillan was one of the league's most physical forwards, finishing fourth in the league in faceoffs won with 376. He finished with 19 blocked shots and was a plus-19 rating, as well as adding a team-best 29 assists. He had 44 total points.
The ECAC regular season champs will take on St. Lawrence in the ECAC semifinals tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m., at Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, N.Y.
The game can be seen live on ESPN+.
