ATLANTIC CITY, NJ - Quinnipiac Men's Basketball dropped its semifinal contest at the 2024 Hercules Tires MAAC Men's Basketball Championship, as the Bobcats fell vs. Saint Peter's by the final score of 62-60 from Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall.

Mouhamed Sow grabbed an offensive rebound and put in a layup as time expired, eliminating the Bobcats from the MAAC postseason tournament.

Matt Balanc made a fadeaway 3-pointer with 13 seconds left to tie the game, then Sow won the contest for Saint Peter's with his lay in.

Balanc led the Bobcats with 15 points, while Savion Lewis chipped in with 14 points, seven assists and five rebounds. Paul Otieno added 12 points and nine rebounds.

NOTES:

QU moves to 24-9 in 2023-24. Quinnipiac's 24 wins under Head Coach Tom Pecora mark the highest total in the history of the program.
The Bobcats broke the team's single-season D1 scoring record. QU has 2,567 points this year, breaking the previous mark set in 2013-14.
Matt Balanc scored 15 points to lead QU. He's recored just one game with less than 10 points this year. The MAAC Player of the Year made a 3-pointer with 13 seconds left to tie the game at 60.
All-MAAC Second Team guard Savion Lewis chipped in with 14 points, seven assists and five rebounds. Lewis ranks inside the Top 5 nationally in assists per game. He recorded 18 helpers in two league tournament contests.
Paul Otieno added 12 points and nine rebounds, going 5-for-6 from the floor. Otieno finishes the MAAC tournament with 31 points and 21 rebounds, going 14-of-18 from the field.
Amarri Tice chipped in with eight points and seven rebounds.
Alexis Reyes added seven points and five rebounds.
Quinnipiac outrebounded Saint Peter's 39-35.
The Bobcats shot 37.7% in total (20-53 FG).
QU moves to 9-15 vs. Saint Peter's since the Bobcats joined the MAAC. QU has taken three of the last four matchups
