Benchmark 2023-24 Campaign Finishes w/ 24 Total Wins
DAYTONA BEACH, Florida – Quinnipiac Men's Basketball's record-breaking season came to an end on Sunday evening at the Ocean Center, as the Bobcats fell vs. Evansville by the final score of 64-63 in the first round of the 2024 Ro College Basketball Invitational.
The Bobcats finished off the benchmark campaign with 24 total wins (new program record). Quinnipiac won its first-ever MAAC regular season title under first-year Head Coach Tom Pecora.
QU also set a new program mark for total points in a single season (2,630).
QU's 19-4 start over their first 23 games marked the program's best start to a year since the 1965-66 campaign. Quinnipiac won 10 consecutive games from Jan. 5 – Feb. 8, the third-longest active streak in all of Division I basketball. The Bobcats finished the month of January with a 7-0 record, marking the first perfect month in the university's Division I history.

NOTES
- Paul Otieno led QU with 16 points and eight rebounds, going 7-of-11 from the floor. The Bobcats' big man shot a MAAC-best 63.8% from the floor in 2023-24.
- Doug Young chipped in with 12 points off the bench, while Alexis Reyes added 10 points and nine rebounds.
- The game was tied seven times, and there were four total lead changes.
- QU outrebounded Evansville 40-33.
- 2023-24 MAAC Player of the Year Matt Balanc finishes second in QU's Division I history in total scoring (1,721). He also grabbed 428 career rebounds. Balanc finishes off his five year QU career with 12.0 PPG on 42.1% shooting. He completes his time with the Bobcats with 144 games played (second in program history).
- All-MAAC Second Team selection Amarri Tice grabbed three steals in the CBI contest to set a new D1 program record for a single season (62 steals).
- All-MAAC Second Teamer Savion Lewis wraps up the campaign with 248 total assists (new QU program record).
- The Bobcats have appeared in five other postseason tournaments since 2010: National Invitation Tournament in 2010, CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament in 2011, College Basketball Invitational in 2012, CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament in 2014, and CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament in 2019.
