No. 9 Bobcats Comeback Bid Falls Short

HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 9 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team lost 4-3 to St. Lawrence in a hard-fought overtime battle.
Neither team found the net in the first period, with shots being 8-5 in the Bobcats favor.
St. Lawrence would pot three goals in the second period before the Bobcats came roaring back in the third period.
Nina Steigauf got the Bobcats on the board with a tip in front off a Mia Lopata slapshot from the point less than five minutes into the period.
Just over two minutes later Julia Nearis picked up a turnover and hit Jess Schryver in the slot who sniped the St. Lawrence goalie.
With just under four minutes to go Sadie Peart scored on a scramble in front of the net to force overtime.
St. Lawrence would score just over a minute into overtime after a Bobcat turnover.
