Bobcats Drop MAAC Game vs. Niagara

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac Men's Basketball dropped a MAAC contest vs. Niagara, 80-66, on Sunday afternoon at M&T Bank Arena in Hamden.
The Bobcats are now 19-6 (11-3 MAAC) with the result.
Matt Balanc led QU with 22 points and six rebounds, shooting 8-of-17 from the floor. Paul Otieno added 11 points and six rebounds, and Savion Lewis recorded 11 points and six rebounds.
The Bobcats celebrated all former QU men's basketball student-athletes on Alumni Day in Hamden.

- QU shot 26-of-64 from the field in total, knocking down seven 3-pointers in the loss.
- Niagara held a 33-28 rebounding advantage. The Purple Eagles outscored QU 28-22 in the paint.
- Balanc's 22 points now gives him a 18.5 PPG scoring average in 2023-24. He has 10 games with double-digit scoring totals this season.

- The Bobcats and Purple Eagles split the regular season series with the result. QU is 12-12 against Niagara since joining the league.
