QU Drops Contest vs. Holy Cross

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac Men's Basketball dropped a non-conference contest vs. Holy Cross, 70-69, on Tuesday night at M&T Bank Arena.
Savion Lewis scored 13 points, grabbed five rebounds, and tallied four assists for the Bobcats. Paul Otieno also registered 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting. Amarri Monroe chipped in with 12 points and nine rebounds.
Jaden Zimmerman (12 points) and Khaden Bennett (10 points) also scored in double figures.
Holy Cross closed the final 8:06 of regulation on a 21-14 run. The Crusaders were led by Kahlil Singleton (20 points) and Joe Nugent (19 points).

- Holy Cross shot 42.6% (26-of-61) in total. The Crusaders were impressive from 3-point range, converting on 14-of-29 attempts from long distance.
- Savion Lewis tallied a season-best 13 points for QU. He registered nine points over the final five minutes of the game. Lewis finished 6-of-7 from the field in 32 minutes of play.
- Paul Otieno has registered double-digit scoring totals in eight of 11 games.
- Amarri Monroe registered 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds (second highest rebound total of the year).
- Jaden Zimmerman tallied 12 points and four rebounds (ties career-high mark).
- Khaden Bennett has now scored 10+ points in six consecutive matchups.
- The Bobcats outscored Holy Cross 48-18 in the paint.
- With the victory, the Crusaders snap QU's three-game winning streak in the series between the two programs. The two teams are now 4-4 against one another since 2000.
- Quinnipiac will travel to Central Connecticut on Saturday, Dec. 21 to continue the non-conference slate.
