QU Heads into League Play With an 8-1 Record, Their Best Start Since 2012-13

BURLINGTON, V.T. – The Quinnipiac Bobcats put an exclamation point on their non-conference slate as they defeated the Vermont Catamounts, 68-63, on Sunday afternoon to close out non-conference play.

First-year guard Gal Raviv dropped a team-high 24 points on 9-for-13 (69%) shooting from the floor. Anna Foley scored 17 points and dished out three assists in the win.

Vermont led the Bobcats 17-11 after the opening quarter, but a 26-14 scoring output in the second quarter for the Bobcats put them ahead at the halftime break.

After taking the lead at the 4:32 mark on a jumper from Jackie Grisdale, the Bobcats did not lose the lead, holding it for 25:37.

Quinnipiac held a ten-point lead heading into the final quarter, where the Catamounts attempted a comeback. However, the Bobcats stood strong and walked out of Vermont with a five-point victory, 68-63.

NUMBERS AND NOTES

First-year guard Gal Raviv dropped a team-high 24 points on 9-for-13 (69%) shooting from the floor.
The Kadima, Israel native has reached double-digits in points in seven of the nine contests so far this season.
Raviv also dished out four assists, the most on the team.
Anna Foley scored 17 points and dished out three assists in the win.
Seven Bobcats contributed to the scoring effort that propelled them past the Catamounts.
The Bobcats shot 49.0% from the floor, compared to Vermont's 47.9%.
Quinnipiac was outrebounded by Vermont, 29-25.
The Bobcats forced 15 Catamount turnovers to lead them to the win.
Quinnipiac finished their non-conference slate with an 8-1 record, their best start to a season since the 2012-13 season.
