Quinnipiac Closes Out Non-Conference Play With Win Over Vermont

QU Heads into League Play With an 8-1 Record, Their Best Start Since 2012-13
BURLINGTON, V.T. – The Quinnipiac Bobcats put an exclamation point on their non-conference slate as they defeated the Vermont Catamounts, 68-63, on Sunday afternoon to close out non-conference play.
First-year guard Gal Raviv dropped a team-high 24 points on 9-for-13 (69%) shooting from the floor. Anna Foley scored 17 points and dished out three assists in the win.
Vermont led the Bobcats 17-11 after the opening quarter, but a 26-14 scoring output in the second quarter for the Bobcats put them ahead at the halftime break.
After taking the lead at the 4:32 mark on a jumper from Jackie Grisdale, the Bobcats did not lose the lead, holding it for 25:37.
Quinnipiac held a ten-point lead heading into the final quarter, where the Catamounts attempted a comeback. However, the Bobcats stood strong and walked out of Vermont with a five-point victory, 68-63.
