Bobcats Fall to Miami For First Loss of 2024-25

MIAMI, Fla. – The Quinnipiac women's basketball team suffered their first loss of the season in overtime to the University of Miami, 83-74, on Sunday afternoon at the Watsco Center.
Gal Raviv dropped a team-high 25 points with five rebounds and four assists. Jackie Grisdale shot 50% from three-point range as she scored 19 points. Both Raviv and Grisdale were named to the All-Tournament team.
The Hurricanes came out of the gates red hot as they shot 53.3% (16-for-30) in the first half to lead the Bobcats 41-26.
Miami's lead got as high as 22, but the Bobcats fought all the way back as Anna Foley knocked down a three to make it a one-point game. After a Karson Martin layup made it a three-point lead for the Bobcats, Haley Cavinder knocked down a three with 12 seconds left to push this game into overtime.
The Hurricanes outscored the Bobcats 16-7 in overtime as they claimed the Miami Thanksgiving Tournament championship.
