Galantini Named MAAC Golfer of the Month

HAMDEN, Conn. – Sophomore golfer Samantha Galantini was named the MAAC Golfer of the Month for October, as announced by the league office on Wednesday, November 6^th.

Samantha Galantini competed in two tournaments in the month of October and finished in the top five in both events. In the Quinnipiac Classic, Samantha Galantini saw herself in a tie for fifth place after the opening day of the event. Galantini shot an 81 (+9) in the first round and a 71 (-1) in the second round on day one. On the second day of the event, Galantini shot a 75 (+3) to finish in a tie for fifth place as the team finished in third place of 11 teams.

In the final tournament of the month, Galantini shot a 145 (+1) on the opening day of the Lady Blue Hen Invitational to sit in a tie for seventh place after the first 36 holes. In the final round of the event, Galantini shot a 68 (-4) to jump into a tie for third place as the Bobcats finished the event in second place.
