No. 7 Bobcats Skate to Tie with No. 8 Cornell

HAMDEN, Conn. – The No. 7 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team skated to a 3-3 tie with No. 8 Cornell on Friday evening.
The Big Red started the scoring just under seven minutes into the game. Makayla Watson even the scored just three minutes later after creating a turnover in the offensive zone and firing it past the Cornell goaltender.
With under ten seconds to go in the first period and on a power play, Kahlen Lamarche found the back of the net with a shot from above the circle to take the lead heading into the first intermission.
15 minutes into the second period Kendall Cooper fired a shot from the point and Bryn Prier got a piece of it to deflect it into the net, pushing the lead to two.
Cornell would tie it with two goals, two minutes apart in the middle of the third period.
Despite several power plays for each team, neither team would score late in the third nor in overtime.
