
Bobcats Place 15th at Paul Short Run

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Quinnipiac University women's cross country program placed 15th out of 42 teams at the 50th annual Paul Short Run at Lehigh University on Saturday morning.
The Bobcats placed four inside the Top 85, one of eight schools to do that, at the annual meet featuring some of the region's best teams.
Alessandra Zaffina paced the Bobcats, finishing in 20:52.8. Lauren Selkin and Rachel St. Germain rounded out Quinnipiac's top three.
STATS AND NOTES
The Bobcats compete at the 2024 New England Championships on Saturday, Oct. 12 in Hopkinton, N.H.
The meet is also the site of the 2024 NCAA Northeast Regional Meet on Nov. 15.

- Freshman Madeleine O'Neill ran the fastest 6k time of her short career, finishing in 22:28.9.
- Zaffina bested her time in the meet by 37 seconds from a year ago.
- Avery Palmucci ran 85 seconds faster than her first time at the meet in 2023.
