LOUDONVILLE, NY. – The Quinnipiac women's volleyball team won their fifth straight match as they defeated the Siena Saints, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon.

Yagmur Gunes recorded her fifth double-double of the season as she recorded a team high 16 kills and ten digs in the win. Elena Giacomini also recorded a double-double with 16 digs and 10 kills.

SET ONE (29-27, Quinnipiac)
Quinnipiac took a 15-10 lead in the first set media timeout. Out of the break, the Saints used a 6-3 run to make it a 18-16 game in the Bobcats' favor.

After a Quinnipiac timeout, the two sides traded points as they were even at 27 points each. A kill from Leilani-kai Giusta made it set point for the Bobcats and Yagmur Gunes closed out the set with a kill of her own.

SET TWO (25-19)
The Bobcats opened the second set with an 11-5 run as the Saints called their first timeout of the set. Out of the timeout, the Bobcats went on a 6-4 run to take a 17-9 advantage as Siena called their final timeout of the set.

Siena closed the gap in the second set, making it a four-point game as the Bobcats lead 23-19. Leilani-kai Giusta and Elena Giacomini recorded back-to-back kills to give the Bobcats the set victory.

SET THREE (25-20)
Siena opened the third set with a lead at the media timeout, 15-10. After the break, the Bobcats used a 6-1 run to even the set at 16 and force the Saints to call their first timeout of the set.

Out of the timeout, the Bobcats were able to complete the comeback in the final set as they won the third set, 25-20.

Yagmur Gunes recorded her fifth double-double of the season as she recorded a team high 16 kills and ten digs in the win
Elena Giacomini also recorded a double-double with 16 digs and 10 kills.
Alexandra Tennon took charge at the service line as she recorded four aces.
Quinnipiac and Siena each registered 7.0 total blocks.
The Bobcats combined for 42 kills compared to 34 kills from the Saints.
Quinnipiac dominated the service line with nine aces in the victory over the Saints.
Damla Gunes recorded 32 assists in the effort.

NEXT UP
The Bobcats will head back on the road to Buffalo, New York as they take on the Canisius Golden Griffins on Saturday, October 26^th at 1 PM.
