HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's soccer has announced the signing of Joey Saputo Jr., as revealed by Head Coach Eric Da Costa and the Bobcats on January 31, 2024.
Joey has joined the Bobcats this spring as a sophomore, after spending his first two collegiate seasons at the University of Connecticut. The native of Montréal, Québec is a 5-foot-9 forward who played in eight matches in his time at UConn. He scored three goals, including two versus CCSU his sophomore season.

"What first drew my attention was the impressive history the soccer program has built off of in recent years," Saputo said. "What kept my attention was the relationship the coaching staff built with me after only a couple conversations."
Prior to UConn, Saputo attended Northfield Mount Heron and Lower Canada College. He played for C.F. Montréal Academy and was named Team MVP in 2018 and 2019, as well as Provincial MVP in 2019.
