Tice Helps Power Bobcats Past Marist in Homecoming

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Quinnipiac Men's Basketball outscored Marist 37-22 in the second half of action, earning a road win at McCann Arena by the final score of 66-55.
Newburgh, New York-native Amarri Tice led the way with 20 points and 15 rebounds during his homecoming game. Tice shot 5-of-10 from the floor, and 8-for-10 from the free throw line to power the Bobcats to a league victory.
Matt Balanc added 16 points and five rebounds, while Savion Lewis chipped in with 13 points, four rebounds and two assists.
Quinnipiac outscored Marist 30-16 in the paint, and the Bobcats held a 43-34 advantage on the boards.
QU moves to 12-4 in 2023-24 with the win (4-1 MAAC).

- The Bobcats went 22-of-51 (43.1%) in total, including a 12-of-24 (50.0%) clip in the second half to help earn the MAAC victory.
- Quinnipiac jumped out to an early 9-3 lead over the first 1:21 of action.
- Marist enjoyed a 17-0 run over a 7:12 span during the middle of the first half. QU led 10-4 prior to the start of the run, then the Red Foxes took a 21-10 advantage at the end of the run after a pair of Isaiah Brickner free throws.
- The Bobcats then outscored Marist 14-7 over the first five-plus minutes of the second half.
- There were six lead changes in total, and the game was tied six times.
- Amarri Tice recorded 12 points and 10 rebounds during the final 20 minutes of play. Savion Lewis added 10 points during the second half of action, while Matt Balanc chipped in with nine second-half points.

- Quinnipiac's largest lead was 11 points – the final margin of victory.
