Bobcats Defeat Drexel in Hamden

HAMDEN, Conn. — The Quinnipiac women's soccer team defeated Drexel on Friday afternoon by a score of 2-1.
Talie Lyon and Lily Schnieders both notched their first goals and Sofia Lospinoso made seven saves in the winning effort.

- (5' - Quinnipiac 1, Drexel 0 ) – Off a Quinnipiac corner, the ball found the feet of Talie Lyon who ripped a shot off the left post and into the back of the net.
- (48' - Quinnipiac 2, Drexel 0) - Courtney Chochol forced a turnover and dished the ball over to Lily Schnieders. Schnieders wasted no time and ripped a shot over the Drexel goalkeeper to extend the lead to two.
- (79' – Quinnipiac 2, Drexel 1) – The ball found the feet of Annalena O'Reilly who found the back of the net to make it a one goal game.
- With her goal in the fifth minute, Talie Lyon registered her first career collegiate goal.
- Lily Schnieders found the back of the net for the first time as a Bobcat.
- Lospinoso recorded a season high seven saves en route to the victory.
- Quinnipiac notched their first win against Drexel in program history.
