
QU Athletics Posts Strong Academic Numbers for Spring 2023

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac Athletics has announced its academic success following the spring 2023 semester, as the Bobcats' 21 varsity programs combined for a department-wide 3.52 grade point average.
This marks the second consecutive that the Bobcats have recorded a 3.52 semester-long GPA.
All 21 varsity programs carried a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the 12th consecutive semester, dating back to the start of the 2017-18 academic year.
"We're incredibly proud of our student-athletes for another strong showing in the classroom during the spring semester," said Kristen Casamento, Associate Athletic Director for Academic Support.
"The statistics from Spring 2023 reflect a continued commitment to academic excellence on a daily basis. A big thank you to all of our Academic Support professionals for their unwavering support for our student-athletes."
This marks the fourth consecutive semester where QU student-athletes have combined for a 3.50 GPA, dating back to the fall of 2021.
386 of 451 student-athletes recorded a 3.0 or better, while 182 Bobcats made the Dean's List. 85 student-athletes recorded a 4.0 fall term GPA.
Field Hockey recorded the highest team GPA in the department (3.81), while the national-champion men's ice hockey program posted the highest mark for all QU male teams (3.69).
