Zoe Boyd Signs Professional Contract with the Boston Pride

HAMDEN, Conn.—Graduate captain Zoe Boyd has signed an entry level contract with the Boston Pride of the Professional Hockey Federation (PHF) as announced by the organization on Thursday, May 4. Boyd was named to her second year in a leadership role, serving as a co-captain alongside Lexie Adzija. She was named an assistant captain in her senior year.
"We're so proud of Zoe and excited for her to take this next step in her hockey career." Head Coach Cass Turner said, "Boston is getting a great defender and more importantly a phenomenal person that will bring so much both on and off the ice to their program. Best of luck Zoe!"
Boyd played in 27 games this season, recording three goals and 11 assists, a career-high season for the graduate defender. She blocked 22 shots this season, had three multi-point nights, and ended the season with a +20.
The graduate captain defender saw action in 135 total games throughout her career as a Bobcat. She tallied a record of 9-41-50, with three powerplay goals and a game winning goal against Brown in a 9-1 victory on Feb. 22, 2020. She was named to the ECAC Third Team All-League in her senior year and ranked second on the team in defensive scoring in her first season as a Bobcat.
Boyd was also the recipient of the 2022-23 Coaches Award during the Women's Ice Hockey Annual End of Year Banquet.
