BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - Four different skaters scored a goal to lead the Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team to a 4-1 victory over Ohio State in the NCAA Bridgeport Regional Final on Sunday afternoon inside Total Mortgage Bank Arena. With the victory, Quinnipiac advances to the Frozen Four for the third time in program history and first time since the 2015-16 season.

Skyler Brind'Amour, Christophe Fillion, Jayden Lee and Cristophe Tellier added a goal apiece, while sophomore goalkeeper Yaniv Perets recorded 34 saves to lead Quinnipiac to a berth in the 2023 Frozen Four.

The Buckeyes opened the scoring 1:31 in, as they forced a turnover and scored on a breakaway but would not score again.

Fillion and Brind'Amour went back to back, scoring 15 seconds apart to put the Bobcats up for good.

With the team's 32nd win of the year, the Bobcats have tied the program record for the most wins in a single season.

STATS AND NOTES

This year's Quinnipiac team joins the 2013 and 2016 squads that also advance to college hockey's grandest stage.
That 2016 squad joins the 2022 and 2023 Bobcats' teams that won 32 games in a season.
Fillion had a career day, setting a new collegiate high with three points in the game. Along with his opening goal, he provided assists on two of other three Bobcat tallies.
Perets made 49 saves on 50 opposing shots on goal over the two games, earning Most Outstanding Player honors at the regional.
Tellier added his second, multi-point game of the season and first since Dec. 9 against RPI.
The Bobcats will enter Tampa with the most wins of any team, currently standing with 32. Minnesota has 28, Boston University has 29 and Michigan has 26.

UP NEXT
Quinnipiac will battle Michigan for the second consecutive NCAA Tournament, but this time in the National Semifinals on Thursday, April 6 at 8:30 p.m., at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla.
