HANOVER, N.H. — Three goals in a span of 1:52 erased a 2-1 deficit for the No. 2 Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey program and the Bobcats would leave Hanover with a 4-2 victory over Dartmouth on Saturday night at Thompson Arena.
The squad's third win over the Big Green this season, the second-ranked Bobcats would get goals from Zach Metsa, Sam Lipkin and Ethan de Jong to power past their hosts en route to a weekend sweep and their fourth straight win.
After Dartmouth led following the first 20 minutes, Christophe Fillion scored his second in as many games this weekend to knot the proceedings heading into the final frame.
The Big Green took the lead at the 5:20 mark of the third off a deflection point shot but the Bobcats would turn up the heat with pressure in the offensive zone and it resulted in the comeback victory.
Quinnipac peppered Dartmouth's goaltender, Cooper Black, with 48 shots on the night, including 20 in the final frame.
STATS AND NOTES
The Bobcats head to Upstate New York next weekend, taking on Clarkson and St. Lawrence on Friday and Saturday night. Both puck drops are slated for 7 p.m., and can be seen live on ESPN+.
