TROY, N.Y. — For the first time since 1988-89, an ECAC team finished the regular season with 20 wins as the Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey program culminated its league slate 20-2-0 with a 4-1 victory over RPI on Saturday night at the Houston Field House.
The Bobcats won their final eight league contests by a combined 33-7 scoreline after sweeping the weekend with a pair of 4-1 victories. Collin Graf, Jayden Lee, Jacob Quillan and Sam Lipkin all had multi-point nights to lead the Bobcat attack.
After RPI started the scoring with a redirection in front, the Bobcats potted two goals in the second and two in the third to seize control and earn their 20th league win. Lee fired a shot home to tie the game at one at the 5:36 mark of the second. Quillan scored the second of the game from below the goal line, throwing it off the RPI goaltender's leg and into the net.
In a sequence of the year contender, Sam Lipkin finished off a wild string of events that started with a Yaniv Perets diving save at one end and the first-year Lipkin firing top corner at the other. STATS AND NOTES
After earning the bye in the first round of the ECAC Postseason, the Bobcats will host the lowest seed remaining in a best-of-3 series starting Friday, March 10 at M&T Bank Arena. Puck drop for the Friday and Saturday night games are slated for 7 p.m.

- The Bobcats' 28 regular-season wins match last season's total, both of which are the most in a single campaign in program history.
- Lipkin and Quillan both added their ninth, multi-point outings of their careers, while Lee recorded his fourth.
