CANTON, N.Y. — The No. 2 Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey cruised to its sixth consecutive victory on Saturday night, defeating St. Lawrence by a 5-0 final at Appleton Arena.
The Bobcats were powered by both of its Hobey Baker Award nominees, as Collin Graf potted a pair of goals and Yaniv Perets recorded his eighth shutout of the campaign as Quinnipiac leaves the northern part of New York with all six available points.
Christophe Fillion started the scoring, taking a feed from Cristophe Tellier and converting the 2-on-1 opportunity just 88 seconds into the contest.
After Graf's unassisted tally made it 2-0, Anthony Cipollone recorded his first collegiate goal, deflecting home a point shot from Iivari Räsänen to extend the advantage to 3-0. Graf would add another unassisted tally in the second before Jayden Lee rounded out the scoring with a third-period point shot off the post and in.
STATS AND NOTES
The Bobcats return home for Senior Weekend, when they host Yale in the Annual Heroes' Hat contest on Feb. 17 before Senior Night against Brown on Feb. 18. Both games are slated for 7 p.m., and can be seen live on ESPN+.
